[Part 2 - Tazz hosts his own scared straight][Nov. 5, 2001]
Last Monday on October 29th before RAW, Tazz along with Albert and the Dudley Boyz took a trip to the Bullitt County Day Treatment School in Shepherdsville to talk to a large group of teen agers gone wrong. ''Get REAL'' (Respect, Education, Achievement, Leadership), a program hosted by the World Wrestling Federation has wrestlers go around and talk to kids with real discipline problems. It is like the WWF's own little mild, tone down version of scared straight. The WWF's goal is to persuade these troublesome kids to stay out of trouble. Tazz would be the first to start off amoung the wrestlers. And for those who wern't paying attention, or slacking off, he would tell them to stop talking, to sit up, and to quit slouching. And if you watched Tough Enough on MTV, you know how Tazz disciplines. When Tazz had everyone's attention, he began to get his message across by telling them ''I'm trying to tell you to be a leader. Nobody wants to be a follower. . . . When you do what other people do because you want to be cool, or you want to chill with them, you're a follower,'' he said. ''Just remember you ain't gotta impress nobody but you.'' Albert and the Dudleys finished off. At the end, the four signed autographs for the 60 kids. I think it's a smart and generous thing the WWF is doing. They're using their superstars, who the fans look up to, to get a good message accross. And picking Tazz to start off couldn't have been a finer choice.
